What this document covers: This is the legal contract that applies when you buy from Rinos. It covers how orders work, prices, delivery, your 14-day return right, and how we handle liability. § 1 Who we are

These Terms apply to all orders placed through rinosbike.com, rinosbike.eu, rinosbike.uk, rinosbike.de, and all marketplace channels (eBay, Kaufland). By placing an order you agree to these Terms.
We do not accept counter-terms from customers unless agreed in writing.
§ 2 How an order works
Our product listings are invitations to buy — not binding offers. Your order is the offer.
The order confirmation email you receive immediately is only a receipt. It does not mean we have accepted your order.
A binding contract is formed when we send a separate acceptance email or dispatch the goods, whichever comes first.
If a product is listed at a clearly wrong price due to a technical error, we may cancel the order before dispatch and refund you in full. We will tell you immediately.
Individual quotes outside the shopping cart are valid for 5 days.
§ 3 Prices, payment and delivery
All prices include VAT for EU deliveries. Shipping costs are shown at checkout.
For deliveries outside the EU — including the United Kingdom — prices do not include import duties, customs, or local taxes. These are set by your country’s customs authority and are your responsibility. Check before ordering.
Payment is due immediately when the contract is formed. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.
Delivery times are shown on product pages. We may make partial deliveries if that is reasonable.
Risk of loss passes to you when the goods are delivered to you. For business customers, risk passes when we hand the goods to the carrier.
Goods remain our property until we have received full payment (retention of title). If a payment is reversed, we have the right to reclaim the goods.
§ 4 Your right to cancel (consumers only)

The short version: You have 14 days from the day you receive the bike to tell us you want to return it. You then send it back at your own cost with tracking. The 14-day deadline is met when you hand the package to the carrier — not when we receive it. We refund you within 14 days of receiving the bike back. |
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. This right is guaranteed under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and German law (§§ 355 ff. BGB).
How to return
Tell us within 14 days of receiving the bike: email info@rinosbike.eu with your order number (subject: “Return – [Order Number]”).
Pack the bike securely — original packaging or equivalent. Damage from poor packaging during return is your responsibility.
Arrange and pay for return shipping yourself using a trackable carrier. We do not send return labels for cancellations.
Send us the tracking number on the day you hand it to the carrier. The 14-day deadline is met when you hand it to the carrier — not when we receive it.

Return shipping costs for cancellations are always paid by you. We do not issue return labels for change-of-mind returns. For confirmed defective goods, we cover return shipping costs. |
Refund
We refund your purchase price within 14 days of receiving the bike back. If the bike shows signs of use beyond what is needed to inspect it — riding marks, dirt, damage after delivery, missing parts — we may deduct an amount for the reduced value (§ 357 BGB). We will tell you before making any deduction.
Carrier delays
If your delivery was delayed because of the carrier — and you can show us the tracking evidence before your 14-day window expires — we may extend the return period individually. This is not automatic. Email us immediately with your order number and tracking screenshot.
§ 5 Assembly
Your bike arrives approximately 95% pre-assembled. You are responsible for completing the final steps (front wheel, handlebar, saddle, pedals) following the Rinos Assembly Guide. If you are not confident doing this safely, take the bike to a qualified mechanic — this is at your own cost. We are not liable for injuries or damage caused by incorrect self-assembly.

§ 6 Warranty — overview
You have a 2-year statutory warranty (Gewährleistung) on your Rinos bicycle, covering manufacturing defects that existed when the bike was delivered. The full details — what is covered, what is excluded, wear and tear definitions, how to make a claim, and inspection fees — are in our Warranty & Defects Policy at rinosbike.com/pages/warranty-policy.
The Warranty & Defects Policy is part of your contract with us and should be read alongside these Terms.

§ 7 Our liability
We are fully liable — with no limits — for: damage caused by intent or gross negligence; injury to life, body or health; fraudulently concealed defects; and any claim under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz). Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for personal injury or property damage caused by a defective product under the ProdHaftG.
For simple (not gross) negligence, we are only liable if we breach a core contractual obligation, and only for foreseeable, typical damage.
To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect losses such as loss of use, lost income, alternative transport costs, or missed events.
§ 8 Governing law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the CISG. For consumers, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence also apply.

EU online dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not required to use arbitration but will always try to resolve disputes directly. Contact us at info@rinosbike.eu.
§ 9 Business customers
If you are buying as a business for resale, tell us at the time of order. No dealer or distribution rights arise from a purchase — any resale arrangement needs a separate written agreement.
Business customers who are registered merchants (Kaufleute) must inspect goods immediately on receipt and report apparent defects without delay (§ 377 HGB). Defects not reported promptly may not be claimed.
Business customers may not use Rinos brand assets, product images, or descriptions in their own marketing without written permission. Statutory warranty for business customers is 2 year from delivery.
§ 10 Intellectual property
Everything on our websites — brand name, logo, product names, photos, descriptions — belongs to Rinos Bikes GmbH and is legally protected. You may not reproduce or use our content commercially without written permission.
Sharing photos of your Rinos bike on social media is welcome. By tagging us, you give us permission to share that content for marketing. By submitting a review or photo to us, you give us a licence to use it for marketing and customer service purposes.
§ 11 Affiliates and influencers
People who promote Rinos — affiliates, sponsored riders, content creators — cannot make binding promises on our behalf. They cannot extend warranty terms, guarantee delivery, or enter agreements for us. Only the terms published on rinosbike.com govern your contract.
§ 12 'Lifetime Customer Support' — what it means
'Lifetime Customer Support' means we will answer technical questions and try to supply spare parts for as long as you own your Rinos bike. It does not extend the 2-year warranty. It does not mean free repairs or free parts after the warranty period.
§ 13 Sales channels
These Terms apply equally across all our channels: rinosbike.com, rinosbike.eu, rinosbike.uk, rinosbike.de, eBay, and Kaufland, other marketplaces apply our tems and conditions on the purchase. If you bought on a marketplace, direct warranty and return queries to info@rinosbike.eu — not to the marketplace platform. Always keep your order confirmation email as proof of purchase.
§ 14 Legal notices (severability, waiver, amendments, force majeure)
Severability: if any clause is found invalid by a court, the rest of these Terms continue in force. The invalid clause is replaced by one that best reflects the original intent.
No waiver: if we do not enforce a clause on one occasion, that does not mean we waive the right to enforce it in future.
Amendm ents: we may update these Terms at any time. The version in force when you ordered governs your purchase. Updated Terms are published on rinosbike.com with the effective date.
Entire agreement: these Terms, the Warranty & Defects Policy, the owner’s manual, and any written order acceptance together form the entire agreement between us. Informal statements by staff, affiliates, or influencers are not part of the contract unless confirmed in writing by Rinos management.
Force majeure: we are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control: natural disasters, pandemics, carrier failures, supply chain disruption, or government action. We will notify you promptly and refund if performance becomes permanently impossible.
Written communication: formal notices (warranty claims, cancellation, return requests) must be sent by email to info@rinosbike.eu. Social media messages and phone calls do not satisfy this requirement unless we confirm receipt in writing.
